ExtropyEngine

They want fire. I bring fungus.

Engine
HOA takeover

Take the jobs. Keep the book.

You're paying dues and still doing their jobs. That's the whole plot. So we run the jobs ourselves, on the Extropy Engine, on laptops in spare rooms. The site is the idea. The app is on GitHub. Clone it. Run it. Yard's not mowed — anybody wanna mow it? Mint XP. Write it on the neighborhood ledger. Reduce entropy. Everything gets done as a community. They become letterhead. Votes to dissolve come later if you want the stamp. Meantime we make them irrelevant.

The truck is a monopoly on the scorebook

One PDF. A teacher fined for a flowerbed. Same photo three times. $200 for a weed on a hydrant. That's not standards. That's one office holding the only copy of what happened.

We keep our own book

Every closed job staples to the last one. Nobody can pull page three. That's the DAG. Their fine is a screenshot. Our book is the season. Anyone on a node can audit it.

Smart contracts instead of executives

You don't need a president with a mint key. If the common isn't mowed, post it. If someone mows it and neighbors sign it closed, it counts. If this, then that. A vending machine for a decision. No "we'll look at it next quarter." No clerk losing the paper behind the copier. The gavel is an if-then.

Community, not a fine mill

Hey — this yard's not mowed. Anybody wanna mow it? You mint XP. You contribute to the ledger. You reduce entropy. Garden MICRO. Lights MICRO. Mediation when two neighbors actually talk. Everything gets solved as a community building for the community.

Make them irrelevant first

When we're already covering the grass, the lights, the ditch, they can't collect meaning even if they still collect the check. Keep writing the old dues so they can't lien the house. Starve them of function. Show, over time, that we do a better job than they ever did. Then the votes can come in to dissolve. Maybe. Until then they're a costume.

Their list, our loops

What they invoiceWhat we run
Common grass / landscapeJob. Somebody takes it. Neighbors sign it closed. XP.
Lights, gates, accessDead bulb is a loop. Not a ticket from a Canyon.
Drainage / storm / freezeSame loop. Evidence on the DAG.
Trash / bulk / dumpsterPost it. Do it. Close it.
Community gardenA MICRO you can start this week without asking the truck.
Neighbor disputeBoth sides sign off. Not a letter from management.
Vendor / work orderA MICRO crew. If a neighbor can do it, the vendor theater dies of unemployment.
Board / executivesIf-then rules the neighborhood votes in. No mint key.
Dues / liens / deed rulesKeep paying until the paper changes. Unpaid assessments can still lien the house.

The app is on GitHub. Not on this server.

Hostinger organizes the ΔS. The job board, the DAG, the crews — those run on your machine. Phone app is a luxury. A laptop today is the necessity.

TODAY — JUST NODE

git clone https://github.com/00ranman/extropy-engine.git
cd extropy-engine/packages/neighborhood-app && node server.mjs

Open http://localhost:4016 — that's the board, on your computer. Next house on the LAN can hit your IP. The JSON file on disk is the book until the full Engine stack is up.

FULL ENGINE

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/00ranman/extropy-engine/main/scripts/join-hoa-meso.sh | bash

Docker Desktop first. That boots the Engine: SignalFlow, loop ledger, XP mint, DFAO registry, and the neighborhood app. Name the MESO. Next laptop: same command, same name.

The paper

Texas Property Code Chapter 209 applies whether they like it or not. §209.0041: 67% of the votes allocated to owners can amend the declaration. That statute supersedes a higher number in their papers. If they already wrote a lower %, that lower % wins. That's the dissolve door. Not a Facebook poll. §209.006: notice and a chance to cure before a fine. Recycled photos live here. §209.0093: 67% can strip foreclosure-for-dues; 10% can petition a special meeting for that vote.

Wyoming is the filing that actually exists for this shape: DAO LLC (W.S. 17-31) and DUNA (decentralized unincorporated nonprofit association, 2024). You live in Texas. You file the optional wrapper in Wyoming when you need a checking account or a name the county understands. The Engine does not wait for that stamp. The DFAO runs on the laptops either way. A lawyer does the filing. This is not legal advice.

Get their recorded CC&Rs, bylaws, articles, plat. Owners can demand dedicatory instruments. Hays County clerk has the recording. Drop the PDFs in the Sunset Oaks docs folder on GitHub when you have them — that's the rest of the pressure map. The City may have required an HOA on the plat. That would be a second lock.

Keep writing the old check until the paper changes. Unpaid assessments can still lien the house. Same as fiat: we run next to it until it is a costume. Starve them of jobs, not of a skipped bill.

The pitch

You're paying dues and still doing their jobs. That's the whole plot.

So we keep our own book.

Yard's not mowed? Anybody wanna mow it? You do the work, neighbors sign it closed, it hits a ledger nobody in that office admins. That's XP. That's entropy going down. That's a community actually building for the community.

The inspector is unemployed. The gavel is an if-then: if it got done and signed, it counts. No "next quarter." Smart contract. Not a person with a stamp.

The idea is here. The app is on GitHub — you clone it, you run it on a laptop in the spare room. Not on some company's server. Phone app later. Laptop now.

Keep writing the old dues check so they can't lien the house. We empty their job jar. When we're the ones keeping the place running, they're letterhead. Texas: 67% of owners can amend the declaration. Wyoming is the DAO filing if we ever need a checking account. Function now. Paper when we have the count.

Don't egg the truck. Run the node.
